Seminar Renewal Course 10/14, 2010 The Rotax training guidelines for iRMT qualifications, starting January of 2008 have now reached their first major milepost, that of the 24-month window. For many the year 2010 will mark the first return of students trained under the iRMT standards since its beginning. This mandate is consistent with the spirit of the FAA training ideals of maintaining currency under the maintenance standards. To assist in this recurrent training, new proposals have been developed. In all cases existing RFSC cards will be invalid after the 24 month period and listings will be dropped from the web pages of persons who do not renew training. Current iRMT Technicians can renew their current ratings by simply attending a one day “Refresher Course” to be held on October 14, 2010. For current iRMT license holders, this is the most inexpensive and informative way to get a 24 month extension on your current certification. The renewal program will cover all new materials released within the past 24 months. As per all RFSC programs a written review test must be passed to renew your certificate. Only iRMT’s with an expiration date no more than 3 months from 10/10 qualify for this quick extension program. All iRMT’s past this grace period will have to take the training qualifications from the beginning. An 800+ square foot classroom is designed especially for advanced Rotax Training at CPS’s Hayward Airport Facility. With a special emphasis on student comfort the new facility is equipped with wireless internet, large screen LCD TV Monitor for slide show and video presentations, built-in audio system for easy listening, clean room assembly area, & forced air climate control. Facilities are designed for students to do hands-on work on both an actual aircraft as well as full teardown and reassembly of a Rotax engine. Located within Atlantic Aviation’s Hayward Facility full tie downs and fuel service is available just steps from the runway. Easy Connections: Being only 10 minutes from the Oakland International Airport allows CPS to offer the easiest travel connections for students coming from anywhere, domestically or internationally. Most major airlines including Southwest Airlines (20+ gates) connect to Oakland International, making air travel as affordable as possible.
