This class is for technicians wanting to Service 912 series engines. This course will give any FAA A&P or LSA Repairman certificate holder the credentials to perform all scheduled maintenance and level #1 troubleshooting procedures. This is a two day 16 hour class that qualifies graduates to maintain 912 series engines under ASTM standards as set forth by the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) regulations. Passing a written exam is required for certification and graduates will be issued an iRMT (Independent Rotax Maintenance Technician) badge and service number valid for two years. Classes start at 8am and finish around 4pm daily and will be conducted by Ronnie Smith, owner of South Mississippi Light Aircraft.
